Description

Aiprel plate condensers are designed for the efficient condensation of process vapor, low-pressure steam and vapor operating under vacuum conditions.Specially engineered plate channels provide a large flow area for vapor while maintaining high velocity and turbulence on the cooling-water side. This asymmetric arrangement minimizes vapor-side pressure drop, improves heat transfer and helps maintain a stable vacuum.Because the vapor and cooling medium remain in separate channels, the resulting condensate can be recovered without dilution or contamination by cooling water.Aiprel plate condensers are suitable for industrial evaporation, distillation, bioethanol, sugar processing, chemical production, fermentation and small steam-power systems.

Main Advantages

Compact and Space-Saving Design

Compared with conventional shell-and-tube condensers, the plate condenser requires considerably less installation space. Its compact plate-and-frame construction is especially suitable for process plants, refrigeration systems and equipment rooms where available floor space is limited.

High Condensation Efficiency

The specially designed corrugated plates create intensive turbulence and provide a large heat transfer area. This enables the Aiprel plate condenser to condense steam, refrigerants and process vapors efficiently while maintaining a compact equipment size.

Flexible Condensing Capacity

The condensing capacity and heat transfer area can be adjusted by adding or removing plates within the allowable frame range. This modular design makes it easier to accommodate changes in production capacity, cooling demand or operating conditions.

Easy Cleaning and Maintenance

The removable plate pack provides convenient access to individual heat transfer surfaces. Plates and gaskets can be inspected, cleaned or replaced without removing the complete condenser from the piping system, helping reduce maintenance time and operating costs.

Wide Material Compatibility

Aiprel plate condensers are available with stainless steel, titanium, nickel, 254SMO, 904L and Hastelloy C276 plates. Different gasket materials can also be selected according to the temperature, pressure and chemical properties of the working media.

Customized for Different Condensing Duties

Each plate condenser can be selected according to vapor flow, condensing temperature, cooling-water conditions, pressure drop and material compatibility. This allows Aiprel to provide application-specific solutions for steam condensation, refrigeration, vapor recovery and industrial process cooling.

Application

Industrial Evaporation Systems

A plate condenser can condense vapor generated during liquid concentration processes.

Typical duties include:

  • Final-stage vapor condensation
  • Vacuum-system load reduction
  • Condensate recovery
  • Process-water reuse
  • Multi-stage concentration systems

Sugar Processing

Applications include:

  • Pan vapor condensation
  • Sugar-refinery vacuum systems
  • Process condensate recovery
  • Cooling-water isolation
  • Crystallization-system vapor condensation

Keeping condensate separate from cooling water can reduce wastewater volume and allow valuable process water to be reused.

Bioethanol and Fermentation

Typical applications include:

  • Ethanol vapor condensation
  • Fermentation-process vapor recovery
  • Distillation-system vacuum service
  • Process condensate recovery
  • Bio-based chemical production

Material and gasket compatibility must be checked when vapor contains ethanol or other organic compounds.

Chemical Processing

Aiprel plate condensers may be configured for:

  • Solvent vapor recovery
  • Process vapor condensation
  • Vacuum distillation
  • Reactor vapor service
  • Chemical-product recovery
  • Low-pressure steam condensation
  • Waste-vapor heat recovery

Complete vapor composition must be provided because small concentrations of aggressive chemicals can affect material selection.

Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology

Possible duties include:

  • Vacuum-process condensation
  • Fermentation vapor recovery
  • Solvent recovery
  • Pharmaceutical concentration systems
  • Clean condensate recovery
  • Low-temperature processing

Applicable hygienic and product-contact requirements must be defined during selection.

Food and Beverage Processing

Plate condensers can support:

  • Fruit juice concentration
  • Dairy concentration
  • Coffee and tea extract processing
  • Syrup production
  • Plant-extract processing
  • Aroma and vapor recovery systems

Steam Turbine Systems

Specially designed plate surface condensers may be used for:

  • Exhaust-steam condensation
  • Small power-generation systems
  • Biomass power plants
  • Industrial turbine systems
  • Auxiliary steam condensation

Turbine exhaust applications require detailed evaluation of vapor volume, vacuum pressure, air leakage and cooling-water conditions.
