Description

Aiprel gasketed plate heat exchangers provide efficient, compact and flexible heat transfer for industrial heating, cooling, condensation and heat recovery processes. Each unit consists of a frame, a removable corrugated plate pack, sealing gaskets and tightening bolts. The plate pack forms separate flow channels for the hot and cold fluids, allowing heat to transfer efficiently without mixing the two media. With removable plates and replaceable gaskets, the heat transfer area can be adjusted to meet changing process requirements. The plate pack can also be opened for inspection, mechanical cleaning and maintenance, making this design particularly suitable for applications that require regular servicing or future capacity expansion.

Main Advantages

High Heat Transfer Efficiency

The specially designed corrugated plates generate strong turbulence and provide a large effective heat transfer area. Under suitable operating conditions, the heat transfer coefficient can be three to five times higher than that of a conventional shell-and-tube heat exchanger.Higher thermal efficiency can reduce the required heat transfer surface and help achieve a close temperature approach.

Compact and Flexible Design

The closely arranged plate pack provides high heat transfer capacity within a relatively small footprint. Compared with a shell-and-tube heat exchanger designed for the same duty, a gasketed plate heat exchanger can significantly reduce installation space.Heat transfer capacity can be increased or reduced by adding or removing plates, allowing the equipment to accommodate changes in flow rate, temperature or process requirements.

Easy Cleaning and Maintenance

The plate pack is compressed by tightening bolts and can be opened without cutting or welding. Individual plates and gaskets can be inspected, cleaned or replaced separately, helping reduce maintenance time and replacement costs.Clip-on gasket designs are available to simplify gasket installation without adhesive.

Reduced Risk of Fluid Cross-Contamination

Leakage channels around the gasketed port areas can direct escaping fluid toward the outside of the unit. This provides visible leakage indication and helps reduce the risk of the two process fluids mixing internally.

Multiple Material Options

A range of plate and gasket materials is available for water, oil, steam, chemicals, seawater and other process media. Materials are selected according to temperature, pressure, corrosion resistance and fluid compatibility.

Lower Lifecycle Cost

Compact installation, high thermal efficiency, replaceable components and convenient maintenance can help reduce initial investment, operating expenses and long-term servicing costs.
